Alpine HDS-990 Status High-Spec High-Resolution Head Unit

It's okay that Alpine's HDS-990 digital media player doesn't perform many of the functions you'd anticipate from a typical head unit. It does, however, flawlessly reproduce high-resolution (up to 24-bit sampling depth/192kHz frequency response) digital music files, effectively converting your car's interior into a music studio. The HDS-990 from Alpine uses some of the same technology as their renowned F#1 Status system, and thanks to its premium construction and materials, you can hear how well it reproduces sound. You can use the HDS-990 as a replacement for or in conjunction with an existing radio in your car because it comes with a dash-mounted commander unit. Alpine designed its Status System components for high-resolution audio playback. Their Status Series digital receiver, amp with digital signal processing, speakers, and subs were designed to work together and play your 24-bit/192kHz digital music streaming files with high-quality, studio-level purity and sonic fidelity.

Amplifier Built-in

You can run your factory speaker system on the HDS-990's built-in 4-channel amplifier, which provides 25 watts RMS per channel, without using an external amplifier. The HDS-990 is ready for expansion if you want to add extra power.

Bluetooth Capability

With the HDS-900's integrated Bluetooth connectivity, you can stream music from your phone and other mobile devices easily. You will have to rely on your existing radio (if you have one) for hands-free calling because the HDS-900, regrettably, will not enable that functionality.
